Individual Counselling

Support for adults navigating change, emotional strain, and moments when something feels off or heavy.

Many people seek individual counselling during seasons of transition, conflict, or stress. You might be feeling overwhelmed, depleted, disconnected from yourself, or unsure how to move forward. Sometimes you want to understand yourself better so you don’t continue the same patterns. Sometimes there’s a clear reason for coming. Sometimes there isn’t.

At The Nest, individual counselling offers space to slow down, reflect, and be supported in understanding what you’re carrying.

Counselling is offered in person in Nanaimo and virtually across British Columbia.

Common Reasons to Seek Individual Counselling

Individual counselling may be supportive if you’re navigating:

  • Anxiety, chronic stress, or emotional overwhelm

  • Burnout or feeling depleted

  • Life transitions or identity shifts

  • Relationship challenges or patterns that feel stuck

  • Perfectionism, self-criticism, or people-pleasing

  • Grief and loss

  • Trauma

  • Substance use concerns

  • Parenting challenges

  • Purpose and meaning

Our Approach to Individual Counselling

Our work is relational and trauma-informed, shaped collaboratively rather than by a set formula. We pay attention to how experiences show up in thoughts, emotions, the body, and relationships.

Sessions move at a pace that feels respectful of your capacity and needs. You don’t need to know which approach is right for you. We’ll explore that together.
